3 Year Old Program

We offer 2-Day or 3-Day 3 Year Old Programs.

At 3 years old, children learn and grow through play.  Play allows children the chance to ask questions, solve problems, and make friends while learning to share, take turns and get along.  In play, children learn to make appropriate choices and cooperate with other children.  They learn to use their imagination, work through their feelings and pay attention to a project until it’s done.  That is why the main focus of our 3 year old program at Little School falls on social skills and the joy of learning.

Our 3 year old curriculum includes: Thematic units, art, introduction to the alphabet, music, circle time, indoor and outdoor play, chapel, Spanish, sensory play, manipulative and table toys, and materials for dramatic, imaginative play.

Through creative play, the children will have the opportunity to learn about color, shapes, textures, numbers, animals, seasons, feelings, senses, nutrition, personal hygiene, manners, and basic science and math concepts.

Pre-K

Although Little School is a developmental based program.  Our Pre-K approach equips the children with the skills necessary for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

A key component is the Mcgraw-Hill Beginning to Read, Write and Listen program.

This series contains and correlates reading and writing, auditory and oral language skills.  Above all else, it produces in the young child a high degree of involvement and motivation so vital for success at this early stage of learning.  Also there is introduction to the appropriate use and recognition of numbers 1-10.

Children are encouraged to explore self-expression through art, songs, games and hands on activities.
